-
Make the pie crust: soften the butter, add flour, fine sugar, and water, and knead into a ball. Refrigerate for half an hour to relax
-
Make the filling: Peel the apples, cut into small cubes and mash them into puree with a food processor. Melt a little butter in a non-stick pan over low heat. Add the apple puree and stir-fry. Add cornstarch and stir-fry until thick. Turn off the heat and let cool and set aside
-
Next, start making the pie: Divide the dough into two balls. Roll one ball into a thin pancake and spread it on the bottom of the plate. Use a rolling pin to roll it along the edge of the plate to remove the excess
-
Roll out the remaining part into even thin slices, and use a fruit-cutting mold to carve a hollow pattern on the crust. As for the size of the pattern, you can use a pie plate to press it on the dough and there will be a rough mark as a reference
-
Spread the prepared filling evenly on the cake bottom
-
Then cover the prepared pie crust on top, press the edges slightly, and brush the surface with a little egg wash
-
Place in the preheated oven and bake at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes, until the surface is golden brown.
