Pure tofu balls

Pure tofu balls

Overview

My favorite thing to eat is this kind of pure tofu fried meatballs. I use northern tofu and only add some seasonings. Nothing else is added. Just like noodles, the tofu is chopped and kneaded, and then fried without adding a little starch. The fried balls are very tough on the outside and soft and hollow on the inside. They are very delicious when steamed or boiled. And it completely retains the natural flavor of tofu. The method is also simple, the only thing is that it takes a little effort. This kind of meatballs is basically what every family here makes during the Chinese New Year.

  4. Just like kneading dough, knead repeatedly until the tofu is thickened, which takes about ten minutes. Don't think that the tofu won't be kneaded. If it feels sticky when kneading, it means it is kneaded. Otherwise, you have to continue kneading. This is the key to the success of this meatball. After kneading, let it sit for 30 minutes.
