Cheese Scones
Overview
I was cleaning out the refrigerator today and remembered that there was a piece of mozzarella cheese forgotten in the corner. I thought I didn't have much time, so I might as well use some to make scones. My daughter would be hungry after school, so the baking time would be just right.

First cut the butter into small cubes, then cut the mozzarella cheese, mix and chop, then add the sugar, then add the self-rising flour and baking powder and mix well.

Once it becomes this dry and wet granular shape, you can add milk, and then add eggs depending on the dryness and humidity. In fact, I grabbed it with my hands. Using a cutting board is too slow. If I use my hands, I can control whether the dough is dry or wet more accurately.

I forgot to take a photo of the dough after mixing well. After I rolled out the dough into a square shape about three centimeters on a baking sheet, I put the baking sheet and the dough together in the freezer of the refrigerator. After freezing for ten minutes, I took it out, cut it into pieces, and then brushed it with egg wash. This photo was taken from outside the oven.

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees and bake on the middle rack for 17 minutes. The baked scones are so crispy that they fall apart if you pull them harder.

Because there is salt and cheese, it tastes sweet and slightly salty with a strong cheese flavor. It's very crunchy, which is what I like about scones.
