Silver beans in sugar water
Overview
The happiest thing in summer when I was a child was eating silver beans with sugar water every afternoon. While my mother was cooking, I always stood on tiptoe and looked at the pot, asking every few minutes, "Can I eat it?" Children don’t like to take naps, so I always wait for my parents to fall asleep, and then I tiptoe on my feet and can’t wait to open the pot and scoop out the drink. Before it cools down, I often get burned to the point of sticking out my tongue and stamping my feet.
