Stir-fried yam with sugar
Overview
The reason why it is called sugar-fried yam is that it is different from shredded yam. Making caramelized yam requires a lot of oil and sugar. Nowadays, low-fat and low-sugar are advocated. My fried yam only uses a little bit of oil and sugar. The prepared yam slices are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They are delicious and good for your health.
