Rose Flowers Nougat
Overview
The rose blooming season is very short, about 20 days around the beginning of May every year. The flowering period is short, so you have to take advantage of this time to enjoy the flowers. I am a rose lover, and I try my best to get a lot of edible roses at this season every year. This year I still got a lot. In addition to making a lot of rose jam, I also made a lot of delicacies using flowers. This flower nougat is one of them. The nougat made from flowers has a slightly soft texture due to the moisture in the flowers, but the scent of roses in the mouth is so satisfying.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Have all ingredients ready. I fried the peanuts in advance, peeled them and cut them in half. Don’t use them whole
-
After washing the flowers and drying the surface moisture, add a little salt and marinate for about half an hour
-
Salted roses will have water leaching out, squeezing out the water and retaining the petals
-
Turn on the jam setting of the bread machine and put in the butter first
-
After the butter softens, add the marshmallows and continue the jam function
-
Use the jam function to heat for 10 minutes, and the marshmallows will soften to the point of melting due to the heat
-
Add milk powder, turn to automatic and stir-fry
-
Let the milk powder and marshmallow blend
-
When the milk powder and marshmallows are basically blended, continue stir-frying
-
Add peanuts and continue to stir-fry. From adding milk powder to when stirring stops, stir-fry for about 3 minutes
-
Take out the bread bucket, stir it a little by hand, and add the roses
-
Pour it onto the oilcloth and fold it repeatedly to mix the petals and sugar evenly
-
Shape into a rectangle about 1 cm thick and let cool. I refrigerated it for 3 hours
-
Then cut into desired size pieces and enjoy.
