Clean the red dates.

Make soy milk in the morning and strain out the okara.

Mix flour, yeast, and sugar, then use bean dregs and appropriate amount of water to form a smooth dough.

Cover and leave in a warm place to ferment.

Take the dough out and place it on a chopping board, knead it to deflate, roll it into long strips, and cut it into small pieces.

Knead each small amount for a while to form a smooth steamed bun embryo.

Press the red dates into the steamed bun embryo.

Place it in a basket and let it rise until the steamed bun embryo becomes larger and lighter. Steam it in a pot with cold water. Bring it to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium heat for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat and steam for 5 minutes and open the lid.
