Overview

I ran out of whipped cream at home and had a few extra egg tart shells. I searched online for a recipe for egg tarts without whipping cream. It was simple and delicious, and couldn’t be better.

  1. Take a small amount of milk, add sifted cornstarch, powdered sugar and vanilla extract, stir evenly to make a milk paste.

  2. Pour the milk into the milk pot and preheat over low heat

  3. Add the egg yolks to the milk paste and stir evenly

  4. Pour the milk paste into the preheated milk and heat over medium heat while stirring.

  5. Stir evenly until there are no particles and the state is uniform. After boiling, quickly remove from the heat.

  6. Pour into the tart shell, filling it eight-quarters full. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 25 minutes, until the surface is slightly charred.
