Baby nutritious meal—apple and passion fruit jam
Overview
Today I’m introducing apple and passion fruit jam. If you don’t have passion fruit, you can make apple jam directly. This sauce has moderate sweetness and sourness, with some apple particles, and has a great taste. Let me give you a fruit - passion fruit, which is full of color, flavor and nutrition. It is rich in 17 kinds of amino acids necessary for the human body, a variety of vitamins, trace elements and more than 160 beneficial ingredients. It is rich in carotenoids and vitamins, as well as trace elements such as calcium, phosphorus, and iron. It has many uses such as enhancing immunity, detoxifying and nourishing the skin, eliminating fatigue, anti-inflammatory and skin care. Passion fruit is called passion fruit because it is rich in nutrients and has a particularly fragrant smell. It can emit the rich aroma of bananas, pineapples, lemons, strawberries, guavas, pomegranates and other fruits. It is said to contain 132 kinds of aromatic substances and is called the king of juice. It's perfect for making jam.

Steps
-
Peel the apples and dice them into small pieces. TIPS: The ratio of apples to white sugar is 1/6-1/2. The lowest sugar I choose is 1/6. There cannot be less sugar.
-
One layer of apples and one layer of sugar, until all the apples and sugar are stacked.
-
After marinating for half an hour, add 1 lemon juice.
-
Use a clean spoon to mix the apples, sugar and lemon juice together, then marinate for 1 and a half hours until the apples are watery.
-
During the pickling process of the apples, start preparing the sealed glass bottles and cook them in boiling water for 5 minutes.
-
Then take it out and place it in a baking mesh or a vegetable basket to dry the water like in an oven, and the disinfection is complete. TIPS: There is another sterilization method: put the glass bottles in the middle and lower layers of the oven at 100 degrees, bake for 5 to 10 minutes to sterilize! After the oven is sterilized, carefully take it out with heat-proof gloves and set it aside to cool. The sterilization of the jam jar is complete.
-
After the apples are marinated in water, cut the passion fruit open and scoop out the pulp and juice with a spoon. TIPS: The seeds of passion fruit can be eaten. Eat them first to see if you don’t like them. If you don’t like them, filter out the seeds. The seeds will look more beautiful if you leave them alone. I want to put in more passion fruit, I only have 4 left at home.
-
Some people have made inaccurate statistics: 1 vitamin C content = 8 oranges = 8 apples 1 vitamin E = 15 oranges = 10 apples
-
After the apples are out of water, put them in a pot and cook over medium heat. TIPS: Use a stainless steel pot or non-stick pot to cook jam, not an iron pot.
-
Add passion fruit and cook together. It is better to use a wooden shovel.
-
Foam will form during the cooking process. Remember to use a slotted spoon to remove the foam so that the color of the jam will look good. Don't walk away, use a shovel to mash the pulp from time to time, and part of it will become apple puree.
-
When you see that the water has almost finished boiling, put some water in a small bowl and add a drop of jam. If the jam melts, it means it is not cooked yet. Simmer for a while; on the contrary, if it does not melt and remains semi-solidified, it means it is ready. On the far left, drop in the clear fruit jam and let it melt. After another 2 minutes, add the 2 drops on the right side and it will be ready. (The photo taken in this step is very blurry. I chose the same picture of blueberry jam)
-
I dropped it twice and it melted, but the third time it was in this semi-solidified state. It took a total of 25 minutes to cook. It seemed like a lot of time, but before you knew it, it went by very quickly. TIPS: You can taste it before taking it out of the pan. If it feels sweet, you can add lemon juice to taste.
-
Start bottling, don't turn off the heat, turn to the lowest heat, and immediately put it into the sterilized glass bottle just now while it's hot, just fill it to 80% full. TIPS: Make sure the water in the bottle is drained at this time. If the temperature is lower than 85 degrees, bacteria will invade. Keep the fire low to maintain the temperature.
-
Immediately after filling, place it upside down on a shelf or table. At this time, the jam is gelling and the bacteria on the bottle cap are being killed.
-
You can spread it on bread, cakes, and eat it however you want. . Moderately sweet and sour, passion fruit is really suitable for making jam.
