Date paste and wheat germ bread
Overview
I made date paste with red dates. I originally wanted to make it as a snack, but I was too lazy to make it in the hot weather, so I kept it in the refrigerator. I thought it would be easy to make bread without being too hot, so I made this date paste bread.

Steps
-
Take the jujube paste filling out in advance and defrost it for later use
-
Put all the ingredients in the main ingredient into a bread machine and knead into dough
-
After one kneading cycle, add softened butter, and then use another kneading cycle to knead the dough to the expansion stage
-
Cover with plastic wrap and ferment until doubled in size.
-
Exhaust air and distribute, cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 10 minutes
-
Take a piece of dough, roll it into a rectangular piece, add some wheat germ, and then put the date paste filling. The jujube paste I made was not too thick, so I added some wheat germ, which allowed the germ to absorb part of the water in the jujube paste. You can also add no germ
-
First fold both sides in half to cover
-
Then fold the two missing ends into the middle
-
Brush the surface with egg wash and cover with wheat germ
-
Put everything into the baking pan,
-
Moisturize and ferment until doubled in size, then cut the surface
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees for 5 minutes and bake for 15 minutes
-
When you cut it open, you can see the jujube paste inside, which is very sweet
