Steps
-
Prepare white sugar, pure milk, and tea leaves (any tea leaves are acceptable, black tea leaves are recommended, if not available, you can use other tea leaves as a substitute).
-
Put the white sugar into the pot and cook over low heat until it melts (if there is a mushy smell or the pot smokes, you can continue, don’t worry!).
-
After cooking, add milk.
-
Add the tea leaves directly after adding the milk (just put an appropriate amount of tea leaves, if you add too much, the milk tea will have a bitter taste~).
-
Continue to simmer the milk tea over low heat. When the milk tea has a caramel color and the fragrance of tea leaves, turn off the heat and filter out the tea leaves. The caramel milk tea is ready to drink! You can put some ice cubes when drinking to make the taste more delicious!
