Steamed prawns with garlic vermicelli
Overview
This dish is my favorite. I always make it every time during Chinese New Year or when I have guests. The vermicelli absorbs the umami flavor of the shrimp and garlic and it’s very delicious!

Clean the prawns and cut off the whiskers

Soak the vermicelli in advance until soft

Soak the vermicelli in soft and dry water, add light soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt and pepper and stir evenly

Chop garlic into minced garlic

Heat oil in the pot, add minced garlic and stir-fry over low heat until the garlic smells fragrant. It will be ready when it turns yellow

Stir the fried minced garlic with a little salt

Take a plate and put the stir-fried vermicelli on it

Split the prawns on the back, remove the intestines, and lay them flat on the vermicelli

Place the fried minced garlic on top of the shrimp and steam it in a steamer for about 8 minutes (you can control the time)

Wash and chop the chives

After steaming, sprinkle with chives
