Overview

The bamboo fish is actually a skinned fish. Its scientific name is the green-finned pufferfish, also known as the horse-faced fish. Its common names in Chaoshan are Dizi and skinned fish. It is called rubber fish in Shanghai and Fujian and Zhejiang areas. In the north, it is called lard, cobbler's fish, breaded fish, and roasted horn. Skinned fish is rich in resources, non-toxic, contains nutrients such as protein, vitamins and fats (see Table 1). Its nutritional value is no worse than other fish.   2. This is a skinned Dizi fish. Most fish sellers will peel the skin off for you. Remember to rinse the fish belly and head when washing, as there is a lot of sand inside
