Wash and cut the cowpeas into sections, cut the onions into thick strips, and cut the carrots into shreds. Put it into a basin, add an appropriate amount of pepper, cumin powder (if you don’t like it, don’t add it), add a little flour and mix well. If you have cornmeal at home, you can add a small amount, so that the steamed beans will be looser. I don’t have it at home, so I didn’t add it. The amount of flour is enough to evenly coat the beans, otherwise it will become sticky. Put it into the pot and steam for 15 minutes. The time can be adjusted according to the amount of vegetables.
-
Sauce: Add minced garlic, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, salt, chicken essence, and sesame oil in sequence.
-
Take out the steamed cowpeas and put them on a plate, pour the prepared juice on top, add some chopped green onions (I also put a little cooked sesame seeds), and pour hot oil on top.
-
Mix well and enjoy. If you like chili, add some chili oil.
