Carrot flower roll
Overview
My daughter usually doesn’t like to eat steamed buns, but she loves to eat Hanamaki. Every time I make it, she can eat two (small ones). The Hanamaki recipe is very simple. Let’s take the big picture first

Ingredients
Steps
-
Add warm water and yeast, mix well, let it sit for a few minutes, then add it into the flour and use chopsticks to stir until it becomes flocculent,
-
Then form the dough by hand.
-
Ferment until doubled in size.
-
Chop the carrots (chop into small pieces) and set aside
-
Take out the dough that has risen, deflate it, divide it into two parts, roll one part out thinly (I rolled it out not round, don’t laugh), put oil on it and spread it evenly, sprinkle with salt, thirteen spices, and carrots.
-
Then roll it up from one end,
-
Place it on a greased basket, put it in the pot and let it rest for 30 minutes. Turn off the heat 13 minutes after the pot is turned on, and open the lid after 3 minutes
-
When making the shape, you don’t need to stretch it, just press the two small sections together. It’s simple and looks great!
