Overview
Spare ribs rice cake is a very economical and affordable snack in Shanghai. The most famous one is Xian De Lai on Yunnan Road. The ribs are marinated, starched and fried. They are served with thin rice cakes about the size of shoe soles. They are fragrant, soft and glutinous, crispy and delicious.
