Fried Lentils with Chaotian Pepper
Overview
In the Northeast, some Chaotian peppers are also called tree peppers or kanji peppers. These peppers grow upward, so Chaotian peppers are named after this. Other varieties of peppers change from green to red, but the color change of Chaotian peppers is quite special. It first changes from very light green to purple, and then turns to red. This is probably why the name "Kanjiao" comes from this. Chaotian pepper is very spicy, so most people stay away from it. Pair a few beautiful bell peppers and lentils with a dish today.
