Soak the beef in water, wash away the blood and drain the water;

Add cold water to the pot and add beef until the water covers the beef; add the above ingredients one at a time, add salt according to personal taste, and bring to a boil;

Bring to a boil, turn to low heat, and simmer for one and a half to two hours (the length of time depends on the beef you choose);
