Stir-fried bitter melon with barbecued pork

The bitter melon given by my husband's friend, paired with the homemade barbecued pork with southern milk honey sauce, is another delicious dish.

Bitter melon given by a friend. (This kind of bitter melon is relatively bitter. I usually remove the bitterness before children eat it.)

Wash the bitter melon, cut in half, remove the flesh and seeds, and slice.

Sprinkle the cut bitter melon with 2 teaspoons of salt, mix well, and marinate for 15 minutes to remove the bitterness.

Rinse the bitter melon with water to remove the salt.

Mince the garlic.

Cut the barbecued pork into thick shreds. (The barbecued pork is homemade, please see the recipe Nanru Honey Sauce Barbecued Pork.)

Heat oil in a pan and saute minced garlic until fragrant.

Add the barbecued pork and stir-fry.

Add bitter melon and stir-fry evenly.

Add oyster sauce and sugar and stir well, cover and cook until the bitter melon is soft.

Remove from the pan.

Children also like to eat bitter melon after its bitterness has been removed.
