Norwegian Christmas Cookies
Overview
Norwegians celebrate Christmas just like Chinese people celebrate Spring Festival with great grandeur. I have never been to Norway but I can already feel the Norwegian festive atmosphere from Sister Hong’s description! Christmas is coming soon, follow Sister Hong to learn how to make traditional Norwegian food Christmas Cookie Festival, and enjoy exotic food beautifully on Christmas Eve. Sister Hong said that there are seven kinds of Christmas snacks in Norway, and she will save them for later. Today, she will start by making these Christmas cookies called sandcakes. Because a lot of almond flour is used, it tastes a bit gritty. The making process is the same as making tart crusts, but the recipe is a little different. This one uses less fat. The finished biscuits are crispy in the mouth, and because of the addition of almonds, they taste very fragrant and have a rustling sound. This may be the origin of sand cakes. Squeeze some cream cheese on it and eat it together. The slightly salty cream cheese has its unique lactic acid taste. When eaten together, it will make your throat still thinking about the next one after eating it. It is not an exaggeration!
