Mapo Tofu

Overview

This is my second time making homemade tofu, and I am very interested in it. I made mapo tofu, which my son loves to eat.

  1. In the morning, I made a piece of homemade marinated tofu to cook a famous Sichuan dish - Mapo Tofu. Cut the tofu into small pieces for better flavor.

  2. Season minced meat with a little salt.

  3. The bean paste is also made by my mother-in-law.

  4. Heat oil in a pan, add minced meat and stir-fry until it changes color.

  5. Add the bean paste and slowly stir-fry until the red oil comes out.

  6. Add tofu and stir-fry evenly.

  7. Add a spoonful of light soy sauce and a little water and bring to a simmer over low heat.

  8. Add green onions and stir-fry evenly. Heat over high heat to drain the juice.

  9. Lift the pot. Sprinkle with pepper powder and minced garlic.

  10. Heat up another oil pan, heat the oil, and pour it on top of the pepper powder and minced garlic.

  11. Spicy and fragrant Mapo Tofu is ready.
