Steps
-
Peel the pumpkin and cut into pieces, then steam over high heat. (about 20 minutes)
-
Prepare flour, sugar and yeast powder.
-
Take out the steamed pumpkin while it's hot, mash it with sugar and let it cool. Add an appropriate amount of flour and knead while pouring in yeast water (dissolve it in warm water at about 30 degrees in advance), and knead it into a smooth dough. (You can rub or beat it like clothes) Cover the lid and let it rest for fermentation. (The temperature is lower in winter, so it takes longer)
-
Homemade honey red beans: Soak the red beans in water overnight, put in a casserole with enough water to cover the beans, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat to remove the moisture, then add sugar.
-
Deflate the fermented dough and divide it into equal portions, like making buns, with the seam facing down, press slightly into an oval shape, carefully score a few cuts on the surface with a knife, and proceed to secondary fermentation (about fifteen minutes).
-
Put the fermented bean buns into a steamer (cold water), turn off the heat after boiling for 15 minutes, continue to simmer for ten minutes before opening the lid.
