Ingredients
Steps
-
Rub the hawthorn with salt and soak for a few minutes to clean it.
-
Use a thicker straw to remove the hawthorn core.
-
Place in water to prevent oxidation.
-
Dry with kitchen paper.
-
Add water and rock sugar to the pot.
-
Bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat, stirring with a spoon until the sugar dissolves and big bubbles begin to appear.
-
Continue to simmer over low heat, stirring constantly with a spoon until the big bubbles turn into small bubbles.
-
When the syrup feels thickened when stirring with a spoon, pour in the white vinegar and turn off the heat when it bubbles.
-
Add the hawthorn and stir quickly so that the syrup hangs on the hawthorn. After stirring for a while, the sugar becomes more and more solidified. A layer of syrup hangs on the hawthorn. After it cools completely, it turns into white frosting.
