Scented Tea, Glutinous Rice and Honey Lotus Root
Overview
In the late autumn of 12 years ago, my husband came to Chengdu for my first birthday. I had dinner at a restaurant and one of the dishes was glutinous rice lotus root. After that time, I would make glutinous rice lotus root for my family every autumn, and now it has become one of my baby’s favorite dishes.

In the picture of the main ingredients, soak the glutinous rice in cold water four hours in advance, wash and scrape the lotus root, choose the thicker end and cut it, and prepare the brown sugar/red dates.

The soaked glutinous rice is filled with lotus roots. Use chopsticks to pound the lotus root into the empty lotus root at any time until it is completely filled.

After filling the lotus root with glutinous rice, use a toothpick to fix the cut head. Add water to the pot, add red dates, brown sugar, and lotus root. Pressure cooker for 50 minutes.

Slice and plate.

Boil rose and wolfberry tea with a small amount of boiling water, add honey, and stir evenly.

Pour the scented tea honey juice on the lotus root and it's ready to go.
