Put the ribs in cold water and prepare to blanch.

After the water boils, keep it on medium heat for one minute.

Pour off the bloody water, add cold water to the pot, add spareribs and ginger cubes.

Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low and simmer for an hour.

Peel the yam, cut it with a knife, and soak it in clean water.

After the ribs are stewed, add the yam.

Continue to simmer for eight minutes.
