Cute version of two-color pumpkin roll
Overview
Recently, I have become almost obsessed with pasta. If I don’t make it once a day, my hands will feel itchy. I have decided to spend more time with pumpkins these days and eat pumpkins in different ways. Today I decided to make a cute version of two-color pumpkin rolls. I learned the lesson from yesterday. I used a spoon to grind the steamed pumpkin into a puree. There are always large and small particles in it. Today I used a food processor to puree it. It was much better. The color of the dough was very uniform. The final pattern decorated on the dough roll can be cut according to your own preferences. My craftsmanship is very poor and I basically don’t know how to cut. I only cut the simplest patterns.

Steps
-
Make yellow dough: Cut the steamed pumpkin into small pieces, put it into a mixing cup, and pour 25 grams of milk;
-
Use a food processor to blend into pumpkin puree;
-
Pour the pumpkin puree into a basin, add 1 gram of yeast powder and stir evenly;
-
Add all-purpose flour and stir until no dry powder forms;
-
Then knead it into a smooth dough and let it rest for 40 minutes;
-
Make white dough: Pour all-purpose flour into a basin, add sugar and yeast powder and stir evenly;
-
Pour in the milk and stir until it becomes fluffy;
-
Then knead it into a smooth dough and let it rest for 30 minutes;
-
Two doughs that have been proofed;
-
Sprinkle dry flour on the board, knead the two proofed doughs separately and deflate them;
-
Then roll the two doughs into rectangular sheets, and stack the yellow dough sheets on the white dough sheets;
-
Roll up the short edge of the dough, apply some water on the edge to make it firm, and then roll it slightly to make it longer;
-
Cut off a small piece from each end, and then cut it into four sections so that each side looks neat;
-
Knead the cut pieces of dough a few times, then roll them into thin slices;
-
I used scissors to cut out four patterns (flowers, smiley faces, five-pointed stars, and hearts), and applied water to the four dough rolls;
-
Then roll the remaining small dough into a long strip, shape it into a spiral roll, and put it into the steamer;
-
Bring the pot to a boil over low heat, turn to medium heat and steam for 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and simmer for 2 minutes before serving.
