【Meizhou】Hakka Sanzi
Overview
Meizhou Hakka people have been making fried snacks for hundreds of years. It is understood that the Hakka people moved south from the Central Plains and lived near the mountains. The climate in the mountains is relatively humid and cold, so the Hakka food has a strong taste and a lot of oil, which is good for keeping out the cold and removing dampness. Therefore, fried food is durable and has become a favorite snack of Meizhou Hakka people and an indispensable treat for guests during festivals.
