Purple glutinous rice balls
Overview
Purple objects always make people feel very beautiful. I like that purple color, so I dyed the white glutinous rice purple with purple sweet potato juice. The finished product is really beautiful! Paired with sweet purple sweet potato and snow pear soup, it’s really good.

Peel and dice the purple sweet potato and add water. Put it in a food processor to make the juice. Pour the glutinous rice into the purple sweet potato juice and soak it for two hours.

Peel the water chestnuts and set aside

Chop the water chestnuts into small pieces.

Chop lean meat into minced meat

Water chestnuts and lean meat are seasoned with salt and MSG

Add appropriate amount of cornstarch and mix well to taste.

Drain the soaked purple glutinous rice and set aside.

Wrap the meat into meatballs and stick them with soaked purple glutinous rice. Steam in a steamer over medium heat for twenty to thirty minutes. The steaming time depends on the size of the meatballs.
