Brush the skin of the pumpkin clean, cut the lid off one-third of the way, and hollow out the flesh.

Wash the millet and soak it in warm water for 20 minutes.

Cover the pumpkin cup and steam it in a steamer over high heat for 20 minutes. Use a spoon to scoop out part of the half-cooked pumpkin to expand its capacity

In a small soup pot, cook the scooped out pumpkin flesh and millet together. Cook the millet until it blooms and turn off the heat.

Pour the millet and pumpkin porridge into the pumpkin cup, cover the pumpkin with a lid, and continue steaming over high heat.

Steam over high heat for about 20 minutes until the pumpkin is soft and tender. You can put some brown sugar when serving. You don’t have to add it if you don’t like it. If you like it salty, you can add salt. It’s up to you.
