Smooth and delicate - custard filling
Overview
Small and cute custard buns have always been my favorite. They come in two or three bites. They are full of milky flavor, soft skin, and sweet filling. They are really good partners. The most important thing about custard buns is of course the smooth and delicate custard filling. This custard filling is the best recipe I have ever made. The filling does not need to be sieved and is more delicate. Of course, if you want a stronger milky flavor, just replace the milk with an equal amount of cream.

Have all the materials ready,

First soften the butter to room temperature, then use a whisk to beat the butter until it looks smooth. Add the whole egg liquid to the whipped butter in three batches, stir well each time before adding the next batch,

Add cake flour, starch powder, white sugar, milk powder and salt to the mixed egg liquid, stir evenly,

Add milk and stir evenly.

Heat over water, stirring while heating,

When it becomes rusty, you can turn off the heat and take it out. (This depends on personal preference. If you like it thinner, you can heat it for a while less.)

The milky custard filling is ready. It can be eaten directly, wrapped in custard buns, or added directly to steamed buns to eat.
