Beef cubes with black garlic—Tianjin local cuisine
Overview
Black garlic beef cubes are flavored with butter, oyster sauce and black pepper. It is a local Tianjin dish that combines Chinese and Western cuisine. Currently the best place to make this dish is Guiyuan Restaurant on Chengdu Road. In a place like Wudaodao where land is at a premium, the restaurant's facade is not very conspicuous, but once you walk in, it's a magical place. Many people go there because of this dish, including me of course. . . However, my first memory of this dish was from a restaurant called Yuhuayuan Restaurant on Hongqi South Road when I was a child. Later, after changing the chef, I could never regain the taste. Now you can make this dish yourself. Butter, oyster sauce and black pepper are the key to this dish. The fragrant sauce wraps the beef and is paired with butter-flavored garlic. It is definitely a delicious dish for family banquets~

Cut the beef into small pieces similar to the size of garlic. Add a tablespoon of oyster sauce, crushed black pepper, and starch for a while, marinate for 15 minutes

Peel and wash the garlic, cut off the stems and set aside

Fry the garlic until it turns color, remove and control the oil.

Smooth the beef with the fried garlic oil until the edges are slightly brown, remove and control the oil.

Melt the butter in a pot over low heat

Add garlic and stir-fry

Add the beef, stir-fry evenly, then add an appropriate amount of light soy sauce, oyster sauce, and slightly adjust the color with dark soy sauce

Add sugar and cracked black pepper. Oyster sauce, light soy sauce, and dark soy sauce are all salty, so you can basically skip the salt.
