Wash pumpkin and yams (wash raisins and wolfberries with cold water to remove floating mud) and set aside.

Steam the yam in a pot over high heat for about ten minutes (at the same time, cut the pumpkin from the top to remove the inner flesh, and be careful not to make the cut too close to the handle of the pumpkin).

Mash the steamed yam into puree.
