Spicy lotus root slices with soy sauce
Overview
Spicy lotus root slices in soy sauce are simple to make, slightly spicy and refreshing. Just put the ingredients in a pot and cook. It can be used as an appetizer, or goes well with rice or porridge!

Prepare the materials, peel the lotus root slices and cut into 0.5mm thick slices

Put lotus root, dried chili pepper, wine, sugar and water in a pot and bring to a boil

The bottom half bowl or so of soy sauce is in the pot

Cover and continue cooking

Boil until the water is 90% dry, remove the chilies, and add a little honey

Cook for a while, turn off the heat, sprinkle cooked white sesame seeds in the lotus root slices, and serve on a plate
