Eggnog

Eggnog

Overview

Traditionally speaking, eggnog should be a special Christmas drink. However, for me who likes to drink some wine when I have nothing to do, it feels very good to have a cup when the weather is cold. It makes me feel warm and a little dizzy. In the past few days, the temperature has dropped across the country on a large scale. It is really good to have a cup and feel warm all over.

  2. Beat the egg yolks,

  3. Add light cream and milk to sugar and heat until saccharified,

    Eggnog step 3
  4. Turn on low heat, slowly add the egg yolks, stirring while adding,

  5. Rum is generally divided into three types, white rum, gold rum and dark rum. Here I use gold rum, which has a more mellow taste. You can also use white rum if you don’t have it.

  6. Pour in the rum and stir evenly (I used 30ml here. Forgive me for being an alcoholic. It is generally not recommended to use so much. Just follow the ingredients. Otherwise, many people will find the wine to be too strong and not very good at drinking it.)

  7. Heat until boiling, then turn off the heat and cool,

    Eggnog step 7
  8. Add 10g of white sugar to the egg whites and beat until stiff peaks form. Mix with the slightly cooled egg milk liquid in the previous step.

    Eggnog step 8
  9. Nutmeg,

    Eggnog step 9
  10. Grind the powder and sprinkle an appropriate amount of eggnog on the surface to enhance the flavor. (The flavor is quite strong, so it is recommended to use less.)
