Ingredients
Steps
-
About 400g whole wheat flour, add about 5g yeast powder, 40g white sugar and mix
-
Add two beaten eggs
-
Add a little less milk to 30g of butter, heat it in the microwave and melt it, then pour it into the flour together
-
Start kneading the dough. Use the heated milk to knead the flour into a dough. Use your own measurement. When it is dry, add milk and when it is thin, add flour
-
After kneading, place it in a warm place to ferment. It is considered fermented until the dough does not sink in when you poke it with your fingers (I forgot to take a picture of the effect after I poked it out)
-
During the fermentation period, you can make purple sweet potato puree. First peel the purple sweet potato and steam it in a steamer
-
After it's done, you can put it in a juicer or a food processor and puree it. My purple sweet potato is too dry, so it's better to add some milk. If it doesn't feel sweet, add some sugar
-
Take out the fermented dough and roll it into dough balls
-
Roll out the dough and add purple sweet potato puree, then wrap it into a ball like a bun
-
If you have jam at home, you can put jam inside and wrap it into a ball like a bun. Here I put homemade fig jam (the jam making method is in my other recipes)
-
After wrapping, place the pinched part downwards on a baking sheet and apply a layer of oil on the baking sheet
-
Put it in a baking pan and let it rise for a second time
-
Ferment until it becomes bigger (you can put it in the oven to preheat for a while and turn it off, and use the residual heat in the oven to ferment faster)
-
After secondary fermentation, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with black sesame seeds
-
Place in the middle rack of the oven and bake at 180 degrees for about thirty minutes
-
Baked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside
