Yogurt Hawthorn Balls
Overview
Following the Internet celebrity milk dates, yogurt hawthorn balls have become popular again and become a new Internet celebrity. Looking at the cute chubby look, I couldn't help but make some, but I personally felt that the ones made with white chocolate were too sweet, so I changed the method and made homemade yogurt, filtered out the whey, and added milk powder to the filtered thick yogurt. Form into a ball and wrap the hawthorn cake. The sweet and sour hawthorn cake is paired with the rich milky skin. It still has a round shape, but the sweetness has dropped a lot, and the milky fragrance is rich. Children feel more at ease after eating it. My baby eats a lot in one go.

Steps
-
Heat pure milk, add sugar, and stir until the sugar is completely melted. When the temperature of the milk cools to about 40 degrees, add yogurt powder and stir evenly.
-
Pour into a bottle and ferment for 7 hours using the yogurt function of your bread machine. Note that bottles must be boiled and sterilized in boiling water in advance.
-
The cotton cloth used to filter yogurt should be boiled and sterilized in boiling water.
-
Pour the fermented yogurt into the filter cloth, put it into a tall container, and stick it on the chopsticks.
-
Just filter it for about 2 hours to filter out the milk. Don't waste the filtered milk. It is excellent for making bread.
-
Thick, strained yogurt.
-
Put the thick yogurt and milk powder into the basin together. I use sugar-free whole milk powder. The specific amount depends on the thickness of the filtered yogurt. It can be adjusted appropriately to form a ball.
-
Mix evenly to form a dough.

The method of making hawthorn cake by yourself is very simple. I also posted a super simple recipe for making hawthorn cake. If you are interested, you can check it out.
-
Cut the hawthorn cake into small dices. The specific size can be based on your own preference. I cut it into about 1 cm.
-
Take an appropriate amount of yogurt dough and wrap it around the hawthorn cake.
-
After forming into a ball, roll it in the milk powder. If the surface is covered with milk powder, it will not stick to each other.
-
The finished yogurt hawthorn balls are sweet and sour, with a rich milky aroma.
