Brown sugar and black sesame steamed cake
Overview
I have a lot of black sesame powder at home and I wanted to use it up quickly so I made this steamed cake. The marble effect can also be made layer by layer. The batter this time was thicker and a very soft dough.

Steps
-
Put 100 grams of flour, 100 grams of black sesame powder, and 40 grams of white sugar into a bowl, add 3 grams of yeast, and 3 grams of baking powder and mix well.
-
Add 130 grams of warm water and mix well.
-
Put brown sugar in a bowl, add 130 grams of warm water and stir until dissolved.
-
Put the remaining 200 grams of flour into a basin, add 3 grams of yeast and 3 grams of baking powder, pour in the brown sugar water and mix well.
-
To make a marble effect, mix the two kinds of dough together and give it a stir. You can also divide it into several pieces and spread them layer by layer.
-
Brush the mold with oil, pour the mixed dough, dip the surface in water and pat it flat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped jujube. Brown sugar and dates are a perfect match.
-
Let it ferment in a warm place until it doubles in size and is 80% full.
-
Pour water into the pot and put it into the mold, boil the water and steam for 30 minutes, then turn off the heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
-
Unmold and cut into pieces.
