Raisin steamed cake

Raisin steamed cake

Overview

There are many friends who like steamed cakes. Later, a friend DIYed them and said that they shrank as soon as they were steamed. Some friends also said that the steamed cakes she usually steams do not have a honeycomb shape. Because I am usually afraid that the children will dig out the preserved fruits or dried fruits on the top, so every time I put the steamed cake upside down so that my friends can see whether it has collapsed on the surface. So today I made a raisin-milk flavored one, and took a picture of the front, just in time to make one for breakfast. In fact, the first solution to prevent shrinkage and collapse is not to rush to open the lid after steaming, and let it simmer for five minutes. For proofing until it has a honeycomb shape, that is, when adding yeast powder or baking powder, the water or milk we have prepared in advance should not be too hot, and the yeast can be added only when it is slightly cool but not hot to the touch. Then the amount of water should be a little more. I have tried a 1:1 mix of pink and water before. The honeycomb shape is great, but my family doesn’t like the taste very much. Later, it was changed to 1:0.8, so the ratio is almost the same. Today’s recipe is 1:0.8. For the rest, practice only makes perfect. Once it’s ready, I’ll give it to you. If you like it, you can try it too. The heat is also very important. Now when I make steamed dishes or snacks, I always use an electric steamer. The heat of an electric steamer is more even and the water-locking ability is much better. Of course, this is just a personal cooking habit. If you are used to using an open flame, it will be just as easy.
