Bean bag

Bean bag

Overview

Bean buns are steamed buns with yellow rice (large or small yellow rice) noodles as the skin and red bean paste or red beans as the filling. They can be eaten after being steamed. Generally found in northern China. The reason why I know about this bean bag is because my husband is from the north and he is particularly fond of this bean bag. I remember that my mother-in-law came to Shanghai from the Northeast, so far away, and her backpack was full of bean bag, and she took it out and filled half the refrigerator. It can be imagined how much he likes to eat this thing. He had thought about making this bean bun several times before, but never took action. This time he finally took advantage of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, so he studied it at home and made some improvements. He directly used glutinous rice flour and good dough, stuffed it with red bean filling, and steamed it in a pot. After it was made, my husband and dad tasted it and said it was delicious. Come and try it too, it’s very simple!

  4. Tie it up and use your hands to roll it into a round shape. (You can’t rub it on the board as it will break. I bought this red bean online. It’s very soft, sweet but not greasy. Friends who are interested can also make it themselves)

  5. Place in a steamer and steam in cold water for 25 minutes.
