Pumpkin hair cake
Overview
Food is born out of love, this saying is so true. My husband is from the north and loves pasta, but I am a southerner and grew up eating rice. In order for him to eat well these years, I have basically learned all kinds of northern pasta. This was my second time trying to make this steamed cake. After making it, I couldn’t wait to cut a small piece for him to try. He only said one sentence. Can't fault it, it's delicious! Come and try it too!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Peel the pumpkin, cut into pieces, steam, and puree in a food processor. Put in a slightly larger pot.
-
Add a little warm water to dissolve the yeast, pour it into a basin, add one egg and 30 grams of sugar and stir evenly.
-
Add flour. (It is best to sift the flour, the taste will be better)
-
Stir flour with pumpkin puree to form a paste.
-
Brush a layer of oil on the inner wall of the mold, pour in the mixed batter, dip your hands in some water, smooth the surface of the batter, and add red dates (cut the red dates in advance with a knife for later use).
-
After fermentation for half an hour, it will be about 1.5 to 2 times the original size. Bring the water in the pot to a boil, steam over high heat for 25 minutes, turn off the heat and simmer for another 3 minutes. Let cool, then peel off the film and cut into pieces to enjoy.
