Beauty black rice oatmeal porridge (plus a little surprise)

Overview

Enriching blood and nourishing the skin, like losing weight, is a lifelong pursuit of many women. Black rice, red dates, oats rich in crude fiber, and seasoned with raisins are a good blood-tonifying product. It is not only rich in texture and full of taste, but it is also a cheap and healthy delicacy. Whether you serve it for breakfast or as a dessert for afternoon tea, it is a good choice.

Steps

  1. A family portrait of ingredients: The amounts of black rice, glutinous rice and oats are roughly the same. The amount I marked can serve three people. The red dates and raisins can be increased or decreased according to personal preference. The oats are whole oats rather than rolled oats. I think whole oats are chewy and taste better.

  2. Wash the black rice, glutinous rice, oats and red dates together. Then add it to the casserole along with about five times the volume of water. For example, if black rice, glutinous rice and oats can fill one bowl together, add five bowls of water.

  3. Add appropriate amount of sugar according to personal taste. There are no strict restrictions on the type of sugar. I choose local brown sugar. I prefer something sweeter, so I put a large piece, about 40g.

  4. Cook over high heat and stir properly with a spoon to avoid burning the bottom. After boiling, turn to low heat, cover and simmer for 40 minutes. In the later stage, pay attention to the amount of water and stir several times to avoid burning out. If you are afraid of splashing the pot, you can put a chopstick between the lid and the pot to leave a gap.

  5. Cook the porridge until it becomes thick, add washed raisins, and cook for another three minutes. The finished product is as shown in the picture.

  6. The sweet and fragrant black rice porridge has always been my favorite, but my husband is not very interested in sweets, so there is some leftover from the porridge I made today. Suddenly I remembered a black rice ice cream I had eaten when I was in school more than ten years ago, so I had an idea and boldly tried it. I added some condensed milk to the remaining porridge, filled them into silicone cake molds, covered them with plastic wrap, and placed them in the freezer.

  7. Three hours later, an extra surprise appeared. It had 70% of the texture of the ice cream I had eaten before, and it contained no additives. In the hot summer, it is also a good way to cool down.
