Homemade Scallion Pancakes

Mix chopped green onion, five-spice powder, and salt evenly; pour an appropriate amount of oil into the wok and heat it, pour the oil on top of the chopped green onion, and the green onion oil is ready;

Pour a cup of flour into the bowl;

While slowly pouring warm water into the flour, stir the flour quickly with chopsticks. When all the flour becomes fluffy, stop adding warm water;

Mix the flour into a dough, the dough should be slightly hard;

Divide the dough into small portions of even size. Take a small portion and roll it out with a rolling pin; it doesn’t need to be too thin;

Spread the scallion oil made in the first step on the dough;

Fold the upper and lower parts of the dough in half, and then cut them with a kitchen knife, as shown in the picture;

After cutting, hold one end of a strip of dough with your hands, lift the other end, and roll the dough up like a circle, as shown in the picture;

Roll up the dough and flatten it with your palms, as shown in the picture;

Pour an appropriate amount of oil into the wok, just enough to cover the bottom of the pan. Put the prepared cake embryo into the pan and fry over low heat until cooked through.
