Delicious steamed cake
Overview
I have always wanted to buy an oven, but now there is no room for it in this house. I have made rice cooker versions, pressure cooker versions, and microwave oven versions before. Generally speaking, they are not very successful, and in terms of our family’s appetite, these things can’t meet the requirements of a meal. When I was making evaporated cakes a few days ago, I thought, let’s try steaming cakes. It’s my first time to make it, and some details are not perfect enough. I will slowly explore it, and then post it when it is perfect

Ingredients
Steps
-
Separately beat the egg whites and egg yolks into two water-free and oil-free basins
-
Add two spoons of sugar and start beating the egg yolks
-
Beat into milky white
-
Sift in the flour and yeast, and pour in 2 tablespoons of corn oil
-
Mix evenly, do not make circles, mix up, down, left and right
-
Add two capfuls of white vinegar to the egg whites
-
Add a spoonful of sugar and start beating the egg whites
-
Beat until wet foam is formed, add a spoonful of sugar and continue beating
-
Beat until dry foam is formed, then add two tablespoons of sugar and continue beating
-
Beat until it can be inserted into a chopstick without falling over, and it is ready when the basin is turned upside down and cannot come out
-
Fold the egg whites into the egg yolk batter in three batches, cutting it up, down, left and right
-
The batter looks like it’s mixed
-
Grease the inner wall of the container that is going to be steamed, pour the batter into it, and shake out the air bubbles
-
Steam the pot for 40 minutes
-
The amount in mine was too big and it reached the top of the pot, so the bees’ eyes inside were not steamed very well
-
It’s ready
-
I cut it before it cooled down. It will look better if I wait until it cools down a little before cutting it
