Overview

Every winter, I crave the taste of hawthorn, but I find it too sour and refreshing. Sugar snowballs are my favorite. Candied haws pierced the mouth! Sugar Snowballs are easy to eat and delicious!

  1. Wash the hawthorns, control the moisture, dig out the dirt at the bottom of the hawthorns and remove the hawthorn stems.

  2. Add water and rock sugar to the pot and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, stirring constantly.

  3. After the rock sugar is completely melted, turn to low heat and stir to simmer.

  4. Until the bubbles in the pot turn into small bubbles, add a few drops of white vinegar and turn off the heat immediately.

  5. Add the hawthorns and stir-fry constantly until the sugar coats the hawthorns and cools down into icing sugar, then transfer to a plate.
