Pumpkin hair cake
Overview
This pasta is not a cake, it is a steamed cake. The color is golden and attractive, and it is not added with pigments. It uses pumpkin puree. In addition, eggs and red dates are added. The texture is fluffy and a little chewy. It is sweet and has the flavor of dates. It is really nutritious and delicious to have such a piece. It is a highly recommended noodle.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Slice the pumpkin, steam in a pot and let cool
-
Use a cooking stick to make a fine pumpkin puree without adding water (you can also use a spoon to grind it into a puree). At this time, add a little warm water to dissolve the yeast and activate it. This will stir it evenly and ferment quickly. Cut the jujube into small pieces with scissors and discard the jujube core.
-
Pour pumpkin puree into a small bowl, add melted yeast water, sugar, and eggs and mix well
-
Add flour and stir with chopsticks. While stirring, slowly add water. Stir until it is softer than dumpling noodles and has some shape.
-
Brush oil on the live bottom mold (mine is an 8-inch one), pour the mixed dough into the mold, and use your hands to dip the water in to smooth the top (if you like jujube, you can also stir some in when mixing the dough, which will taste better)
-
Let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size (I didn't seal it with plastic wrap, it's very hot this season, so I just put it in the steamer and cover it with the lid to ferment. It should be noted that there is water in the pot, but it is at room temperature)
-
Take out the fermented steamed cake dough first, add enough water to the pot, bring to a boil over high heat, put the dough into the steamer, seal the lid, turn to medium-high heat and steam for 35 minutes, turn off the heat and wait for 5 minutes before opening the lid to avoid shrinkage
-
The color of the steamed cake is very attractive, the jujubes are shiny, and it is very appetizing.
-
Very sweet and delicious
