Fried Spanish Mackerel Nuggets

Fried Spanish Mackerel Nuggets

Overview

I was about to empty out the refrigerator, but I couldn’t start with the whole Spanish mackerel brought by my mother-in-law. I always made mackerel tofu before, but it still felt fishy. So I want to try some fried mackerel cubes. This is my first time posting a recipe. Please give me your advice and learn from each other.

Steps

  1. Clean the internal organs of the Spanish mackerel, wash it several times, cut it into thin pieces to facilitate frying, add onion, ginger, garlic, thirteen spices, salt and cooking wine, mix well and marinate for 30 minutes to absorb the flavor.

  2. Put an appropriate amount of oil in the pot to just submerge the Spanish mackerel pieces. Heat over high heat until the oil is hot and smoking slightly. Dip the Spanish mackerel pieces evenly in dry flour, shake off the excess flour, put it in the pot and fry until one side is set, and then fry the other side. Set both sides, turn to low heat and fry slowly until golden brown and the skin is crispy. Take it out.

  3. You can sprinkle some salt and pepper while it's hot, or you can put the salt and pepper on the side of the plate so you can dip it in whenever you want to eat.
