A different way to eat lotus root - steamed lotus root
Overview
The root of the lotus is called lotus root. Northerners often use it for cooking, so it is called lotus root or lotus root. In the south, it is generally called lotus root and is used for both fruits and vegetables. It is eaten in winter and is usually used to stew pork ribs, fried lotus root boxes, cold salad, etc. Today I tried a different way to eat it. My family likes steamed vegetables very much, so I decided to make steamed lotus root.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Wash the lotus root, dry it, and cut into shreds. Sprinkle a layer of flour first, mix well and let it sit for 30 minutes. This is to allow the flour to fully absorb the water on the surface of the lotus root.
-
During this time, prepare the steamer to heat water until it boils. Add the flour again before putting the lotus root into the steamer and sprinkle it evenly. Make sure that each lotus root does not stick to each other.
-
It is best to use a larger steamer, which can spread the flour-coated lotus root into a thin layer.
-
Steam for 20 minutes and then turn off the heat.
-
Put the wok, heat the oil, add the chopped green onions and sauté until fragrant, turn off the heat. Then pour in the steamed lotus root.
-
Break up the lotus root and mix thoroughly.
-
If you want a better taste, you can add a little sesame oil.
-
You can also add minced garlic and mix well. If you don’t like the smell of garlic, you don’t have to add it.
-
Xiuxiu, the shredded lotus root I cut is almost the same as a quilt needle.

It's ready to eat.
