Pineapple Bun
Overview
Pineapple buns have always been my favorite. I like the crispiness of the pineapple skin and the softness of the bread. Although there is no filling inside, (haha! I used to think that pineapple buns are just filled with pineapple)

Ingredients
Steps
-
Have all materials ready
-
First mix the pineapple peel flour and milk powder together, pour it on the pressing board, and make a hollow circle in the middle
-
Add sugar, butter and eggs and mix well
-
Slowly add flour, fold and mix evenly, cover with plastic wrap and set aside
-
Then prepare the dough: mix sugar, milk, water and eggs in a mixing bowl
-
Add high-gluten flour and yeast, stir until the flour completely absorbs water, and knead into a soft dough
-
When the surface of the dough is smooth and not sticky, add butter and salt and soften until the dough is smooth and a thin film can be pulled out
-
After resting for 10 minutes, divide the dough into 10 equal portions of 50g each and roll it into rounds (there is only one plate in the picture), and place it in a baking tray to ferment
-
Roll the pineapple skin into discs
-
Ferment until the dough doubles in volume, then cover it with the fermented dough
-
Brush with egg wash and use a toothpick to score the surface of the bread a few times to make a diamond shape
-
Bake in the preheated oven at 170 degrees and 150 degrees for 12 minutes (use Changdi electric oven CKTF-30GS)
-
When it comes out of the oven, the color is golden and attractive
