Snowskin mooncake
Overview
I have wanted to make [Snow Skin Mooncakes] for a long time, and I have looked for many ways to make them. Since I really don’t have a lot of time, I have to look after the store by myself during the day and take care of the kids when I come back at night, so this time I just bought Snow Skin Mooncake Powder to save time. The ingredients and methods I use are simple and easy to learn and use. In one word: quick and easy to get results! After paying attention to my works, you will slowly discover that I actually just like to use simple ingredients to make a variety of food. If I can achieve the desired effect, it is very good. Last night, after Ibao fell asleep, I started my mooncake plan. I also encountered many difficulties, but luckily I didn’t give up. This is the spirit of a foodie! Haha

My materials are very simple, just these three items are enough. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself when you first start, it can be done easily.
-
Mooncake powder can be mixed directly by adding purified water, and there is no need to steam it in a pot. I didn’t use water, but used milk, which can increase its milky flavor. It turned out to be pretty good~ I didn’t use all the mooncake powder, I kept some as a spare for hand powder, which I will use later when making mooncakes.

At first, I was worried that one bag of milk was not enough, and I always felt that it would not hold together. Then I suddenly remembered to put on disposable gloves to knead the dough. The more I kneaded the dough, the more chewy it became. This flour is still good.
-
Just knead it into a smooth dough. Personally, I think it’s better to knead it with gloves, otherwise your hands will be sticky.
-
I don’t have an electronic scale, and the first two I tried failed: the first one was too small, and the second one was too big. After summing up my experience, I found the right size of dough. My foodie skills are still very strong, and it’s not a problem for me even if I don’t have a scale.

Add an appropriate amount of red bean paste, which I bought in the supermarket and is a bit sweeter. I will make the filling myself later, so stay tuned, eating friends!

A small dumpling is ready, a bit like making dumplings. Judging from the photos, my hands are quite long, I’m laughing...

The next step is to put it into the mold. I bought a small mold that can make 50g. When I bought the mold, I thought for a long time whether to buy a round one or a square one, and finally decided on the buyer. Facts have proved that I made the right choice, the square one is very generous. Turn the seam downward, and the smooth side can be pressed with beautiful patterns. If it is difficult to release the mold, you can sprinkle some hand powder into the mold beforehand.

That's it. Counting the two I broke at the beginning and the reserved hand powder, this bag of mooncake powder can make 14. It will taste better if you put it in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours. I ate it the next morning. It tasted great and the noodles were very good. The presentation isn't that perfect, but it's good enough to eat by yourself.

Here’s another one. Because the red bean paste is very sweet, I didn’t give it to Yibao this time. Next time I make the fillings, I’ll give it to you, baby~I love you~
