Overview

You can buy ebony plums in pharmacies. If you don’t like licorice, you can add less. I also don’t like osmanthus, so I can use less or even none at all.

  1. Pour 2.5 liters of water and soak the hawthorn slices, dried roselle flowers, ebony plums, tangerine peel, and licorice for 2 to 3 hours.

  2. After soaking, put the water and ingredients into the pot and simmer for about 1 hour.

  3. Then after 1 hour, add the osmanthus and roll a few more times.

  4. Then remove the soup residue and add rock sugar. I like the sweetness and sourness.

  5. After it cools down, put it in the refrigerator and it will taste better when chilled.
